The National Center for Fatality Review and Prevention

Lauren Sawyer is the Communications Program Specialist for the National Center. Her work focuses on impactful communication to fatality review teams, such as with Office Hours and newsletters, and internal support for National Center staff on a variety of projects and products. Ms. Sawyer has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and Sustainability and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Health and Risk Communication, both from Michigan State University. Her unique college experience exposed her to the importance of public health and safety, leading to a career in child and maternal health. Outside of her role, Ms. Sawyer loves to spend time outside, especially hiking and backpacking. She enjoys reading and welcomes any book recommendations (or can suggest some of her favorites).
